Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMURIEL LEITH DUNSMORE Muriel Leith Dunsmore passed away suddenly on October 19, 2005 at the Selkirk General Hospital. Leith was predeceased by her parents, Alex and Gertrude (Elsey) Dunsmore. She is survived by Byron (Joan) Elsey; Jud (Joan) Elsey; Sheila (Jack) and Julia Jonasson as well as numerous cousins. Leith was born in Neepawa, MB in 1913 and lived on the farm before moving to Winnipeg at 11 years of age. She worked in the family Red White Store on the corner of St. Matthews and Ingersoll until her retirement. She was happy to share many memories of farm and town life and continued to follow the fortunes of friends and family in Neepawa. Leith read widely and had accumulated a great deal of knowledge in many areas. She followed national and international events in depth. An avid gardener, she could name every wildflower and bird she spotted. She was an outdoor person and loved her times at Gull Lake, Campbell's Grove and Assiniboine Park. Leith touched the lives of many and will be remembered for her strength, integrity and the very positive outlook which remained with her despite the handicaps of blindness and deafness in her senior years. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Broadway-First Baptist Church, 790 Honeyman Ave., on October 22 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Judy Whitmore and Rev. Dr. Byron Elsey officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society of Manitoba, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 or CNIB, 1080 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3G 3M3.
